Grace in the Grind: Biblical Faith for Everyday Life

Grace in the Grind: Biblical Faith for Everyday Life

Cody Hudson

Grace in the Grind is a Christian podcast about biblical discipleship, spiritual formation, church life, and following Jesus faithfully in everyday work, family responsibilities, waiting, grief, relationships, and uncertain seasons.

Hosted by Cody Hudson, each episode offers conversational, Scripture-centered reflections on Christian theology and practical faith. Using the familiar language of coffee—cups, pours, extra shots, and pots—the show helps listeners slow down, examine what they believe, and live with greater faithfulness in the ordinary rhythms of life.

Pot 1 explored recognizing God’s grace in the everyday grind. Pot 2 confronted the false promises of success, productivity, control, and the American Dream.

Pot 3 — Letting Scripture Shape Our View of the Church

Pot 3 asks an important question:

Does what we believe about the Church actually match what the Bible says?

This is not a season of deconstruction or an attempt to tear down the Church. It is a biblical study of the Church—examining how Scripture describes its nature, mission, leadership, worship, community, discipleship, and everyday life.

The goal is to realign our expectations, assumptions, and understanding of the Christian Church with God’s Word.

Throughout Pot 3, Grace in the Grind explores biblical church leadership, shepherding, spiritual maturity, Christian community, discipleship, church conflict, reconciliation, worship, church planting, house churches, and the difference between biblical conviction, inherited tradition, and personal preference.

The purpose is not to attack pastors, congregations, denominations, or every traditional church practice. It is to love Christ’s Church enough to examine our beliefs honestly and bring them back under the authority of Scripture.

Pot 3 invites listeners to approach church life with humility, courage, and grace—allowing the Bible to correct what has drifted, strengthen what is healthy, and reshape how believers understand and participate in the body of Christ.

Alongside the main episodes, called Cups, listeners will also find Extra Shots—shorter Christian podcast episodes that explore the theology and practical application of each topic with an honest, direct, and occasionally lighter tone.
